Other People's Art – Gay Lynn Price

May 16, 2021

As artists, Nan and I both appreciate and want to celebrate fellow artists. The fact that we now have far more than we can hang at any one time doesn’t seem to be having any negative effect on our effort to acquire nice pieces when we find them. I post them here – and on FaceBook locally. For years I’ve tried to get artists interested in something of an Other Peoples Art exhibit, where we display pieces we’ve acquired from fellow artists – with little to no response.

Nan’s been wanting one of Gay Lynn’s pieces for a while now. Saturday was Havre de Grace’s annual flower show (open again today), where we were able to get the wall hanging above. Understandably, COVID lockdown gave Gay Lynn the “opportunity” to do a number of new pieces. This one is a tad over two feet tall, not counting the hanging yarn. Here’s a link to her page on the Havre de Grace Artists Registry: https://hdgartscollective.org/havre-de-grace-artist-registry-2/hdg-artist-registry-view/gay-lynn-price/
