CABARET – Exercise in covering a scene…

Jul 30, 2026

Shooting rehearsal scenes is important in being able to successfully shoot an actual performance. It’s critical to have a familiarity with what movements are coming next. With one Rogue performance, Puffs, I was fresh out of the hospital, with vertually no idea what to expect – my results were, at least to me, mediocre. Here are four shots, very close together, from one relatively short scene. By shooting multiple times, and working up images, it will make it almost intuitive to cover an actual performance.

This is Moxie (Sally Bowles) and Jesse…

Last two weekends at the Star Center here in town. Tickets: https://starcentremd.com
