Lorelei’s performance was quite active, lots of opportunity to catch slight edge-blur movement that I like so much. She made me decide to do something about the whole heavy lens hand held thing, expecially with verticals. When zoomed close enough there is a tendency to lose composition – making it easier to just zoom out and shoot horizintal. Next time I’m facing the ladies, I’ll try using a short monopod jammed into a small belt pouch and view the back screen instead of using the eye viewer. Four pounds of camera and lens for two to three hours and it’s kinda hard to hold the arms steady.
